15th August, That Day… If Dead Bodies Could Speak, They Would Have Told Gandhi – Pakistan Was Built On My Dead Body, Not Yours.

Gandhi and the partition of the country

On that day, 15 August 1947, the country was partitioned. People were going to Pakistan by train from India and Hindus from Pakistan were also being sent to India by train. On the same afternoon, a train reached India from Lahore. When the train reached Amritsar station, the scene was horrifying. There is hardly anyone alive in this train. Senior journalist Prakhar Srivastav has written a book ‘Hey Ram’ about this incident, in which the entire incident has been vividly described.

Prakhar Srivastava writes in his book that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru announced India’s independence from the Red Fort at 12 o’clock in the night of August 14-15 in Delhi. This was a proud moment for the country. Since India and Pakistan were partitioned earlier, the next day dawns and the movement of people from India to Pakistan or from Pakistan to India begins. Soon it is afternoon and a train from Lahore arrives at Amritsar railway station in Punjab.

The train reached Amritsar from Lahore

At that time the station master Chedi Singh welcomes the first train from Pakistan, but is surprised when not a single person gets off the train. He waits for a while and then looks into a box. The scene that is seen at that time is very terrifying. There are many people in this train, but most of them have died. Some have their throats cut and some have their hands and feet cut. Many women’s breasts were also cut off.

Women’s breasts were also cut off

Journalist Prakhar Srivastava writes that hungry and thirsty children are also with their mothers in this train. He touches his mother’s breasts to drink milk, but those breasts have already been cut. The station master Chedi Singh is momentarily speechless at this scene, but then shouts that he has now reached Amritsar. After this, some people start doing some activities among the dead bodies. Let us tell you that after independence, at the time of partition of India and Pakistan, genocide started in the entire country.

If the dead body could speak, Gandhiji would have asked certain questions.

A large number of people left India and went to Pakistan, but the condition of those who were coming from Pakistan to India was very bad. They share their pain and say that everything has been robbed from them in Pakistan. People were killed in public. After this, the dead bodies were loaded in a train and sent to India. Citing these scenes, journalist Prakhar Srivastava says that if any of these dead bodies could speak, they would surely say that Pakistan was not created on Gandhi but on his dead body.
