22 Teams, 1500 CCTV Cameras, 1.5 Lakh Mobile Numbers… How Was The Serial Killer Of Bareilly Caught?


Police have arrested a serial killer who killed women in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. It took the police 15 months to track down the killer. 10 women have been killed in these 15 months. All the events were done in the same way. Bodies of women were found in the fields. A noose of her own saree was found around her neck. A police investigation revealed that the killer was a ‘serial killer’. 22 special police teams were formed to nab him. 1500 CCTV footage examined. One and a half lakh mobile calls were checked.

Surveillance was called in but the killer eluded the police and continued to kill. In the end it happened that we have been hearing since childhood that ‘the arm of law is long’. The police reached the serial killer. He has been arrested. During preliminary interrogation, the killer confessed to 6 incidents. Police are interrogating him all. Demo was taken to the place.

Operation ‘Talaash’ started

SSP Anurag Arya said that a search operation was launched to nab the accused in the ongoing murder of women in the district. 22 teams of special police were formed for this. A war room was prepared for these teams. All the teams started searching for the killer. Started gathering evidence. The police teams involved in the investigation had first recorded all the incidents. It was found that all the women who were strangled with sarees took place within a 25 km radius. The police team made a 25 km radius of the incident site.

With the help of 1500 CCTV, Body Born and Intelligence Cameras

The footage of around 1500 CCTV cameras installed in these areas was verified. Not only this, 600 new CCTV cameras were also installed around the incident area. Apart from this, the help of body borne camera and intelligence camera was also taken. The SSP said that preliminary police investigation has revealed that the killer is a serial killer. For this, a police team was sent to Maharashtra and the serial killer was studied. News about famous women in print and electronic media was collected and compiled.

One and a half lakh mobile numbers, police disguised

The help of surveillance was taken by taking the data of 1.5 lakh mobile numbers to catch the killer. Many incidents took place in the sugarcane fields. In view of this, policemen disguised as farmers were deployed at various places around the crime scenes. Informers were also activated for Operation Search. Three sketches were prepared based on the information received during the enquiry. People were informed by showing sketches. With his help, the police team was able to reach the killer.

Serial killer caught by police

Police have arrested serial killer Kuldeep. He is a resident of Bakarganj village of Nabavganj police station in Bareilly district. Police interrogated serial killer Kuldeep. He was taken to crime sites for demos. He attributed the killing to hatred of women. The kind of killings he committed were repeated in Demos. Kuldeep would first talk to women and then demand them to have illicit relations. When the woman refused, he strangled her to death.

A sari around the neck, a sugarcane field

He used to strangle the dead woman with his saree so that no breath was left. Killer Kuldeep has confessed to 6 incidents of murder. Kuldeep killed most of the women in the sugarcane field. When the police asked the reason for this, he said that sugarcane was too much. He sought shelter in his fields. He would drag the woman 5 to 10 meters into the sugarcane field. He then kills her accidentally and leaves. He said that even if one passes through a sugarcane field, one does not find a person lying inside.

Neither mobile nor vehicle

Kuldeep used to beat women very cunningly. He told the police that he does not use mobile. Due to which it could not be detected on surveillance radar. Not only this, he did not use any vehicle. Kuldeep was moving around the neighborhood on foot. The police breathed a sigh of relief after arresting Kuldeep.

That is why women were hated

Kuldeep hated women. He stated that his father remarried during his childhood while his mother was alive. Father used to beat his mother at the request of step mother. A few days later his mother died. He started hating women because of his stepmother’s behavior. He says his hatred of women only increased when his own wife left him.
