3 Villagers Did Not Die Due To Diarrhea-vomiting In Sarenda Of Kabirdham… The Investigation Team Handed Over The Report To The Collector.


The cause of death of three villagers in Sarenda of Bodla Development Block in Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh was not contaminated water or diarrhea. The cause of death of three villagers is different and Raipur’s Dr. A village woman has died in Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital. A three-member investigation team formed on the instructions of District Collector Janmejay Mahobe made this claim in its investigation report on Thursday.

Collector Janmejay Mahobe received information about the death of three villagers in Sarenda, a dependent para-tola of Sonvahi village. After which the Collector visited Sarenda village along with Health Department, PHE and Sub Divisional Officer Bodla. He met the families of the victims and tried to find out the cause of death.

How did the villagers die?

The investigation report stated that after receiving information about the death of three villagers in Sarenda village, Sarenda village was visited and the family members and villagers of the deceased were questioned. During the inquiry it was stated that Nanhua Singh, the husband of the deceased Punkin Bai was 75 years old. She was a resident of Saranda. She had been suffering from paralysis for some time, due to which she could not walk. He died at home on the afternoon of 14th July due to gradually increasing physical weakness. At the time of death he had no other illness like vomiting, diarrhea or fever.

Sumer Singh Baiga, husband of deceased Sombai, was 70 years old. She was suffering from paralysis for the last two years. He was having a lot of difficulty in eating. Couldn’t even eat food for the last 20 days. According to villagers, he died on July 17 at 3 pm. At the time of death he had no other illness like vomiting, diarrhea or fever.

Maha Singh, father of deceased Anita Baiga, was 29 years old. She was 6 months pregnant. He was admitted to Community Health Center Jalmala on July 14 with vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and bleeding problems. As his condition did not improve, he was referred to District Hospital Kawardha on the same day. As his health did not improve in the district hospital, he was referred to Dr. Raipur. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital was admitted. He died on July 17 during treatment.

His cause of death was not diarrhea or vomiting. Her cause of death is reported as septic shock with acute kidney injury with severe metabolic acidosis and acute gastroenteritis with IUD.

Health testing started in the village

Collector Janmejay Mahobe said that the health department is conducting a health check-up of all men, women and children from July 14 to July 17 in Sarenda village. This test will continue. Medicines are being given to the villagers based on their health during health checks. Bodla SDM, Chief Medical and Health Officer, BMO is continuously visiting Sarenda village and all surrounding areas.
