Abdul Hameed was a soldier in the 4th Grenadier of the Indian Army. He was home on leave when the 1965 war broke out. When he received information about the war, he immediately packed his bags and left for his unit. At that time, bad omens started happening as soon as I left the house. First his bedding belt broke. As he re-tied and proceeded, the tire of the bicycle burst. At that time when the family members talked about the inauspicious omen, they said that the youth are not afraid of the inauspicious. After this he left to catch the train.

At that time, Pakistani forces were trying to infiltrate the Indian border under Operation Gibraltar. A war broke out in protest. In this war, the Indian army caused a lot of destruction in Pakistan. The situation changed when Panton tanks, considered invincible in Pakistan, began to respond to this. In this situation, Abdul Hameed, stationed in the Khemkaran sector, moved from Adna with a gun-mounted jeep to fight Panton tanks. In no time they destroyed three tanks one after the other.

Abdul Hameed then pressed the trigger to target the fourth tank and blew it up, a shell hit that tank as well, but before the tank was destroyed another shell was released, which fell on Abdul Hameed’s jeep. His parents also wanted him to do paternal work, but Abdul Hameed didn’t like it.
