69,000 Teacher Recruitment Case Reaches Supreme Court, Candidates Appeal

After the decision of the High Court in the case of recruitment of 69000 teachers in UP, the future of many teachers is at stake. On the other hand, the political heat is on in this matter. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court quashed the merit list for the recruitment of teachers. After this, many teachers came out on the streets. Demonstrations also took place in Lucknow. There was lathi charge too. Amidst all this, the matter has now reached the Supreme Court.

Vinay Pandey and Shivam Pandey have petitioned the Supreme Court on behalf of the general candidates who were not selected in the matter related to the recruitment of 69000 teachers. Since the High Court’s order, it was believed that unreserved class candidates could approach the Supreme Court. Seeing this, the OBC candidates had already filed a caveat in the Supreme Court. Two petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court in this matter.

The agitation of the candidates is going on

The striking candidates say that the officials of the department are deliberately delaying the matter, so that the matter gets stuck again and the officials have nothing to do. He said that it has been more than a week since the order of the High Court, but the officials are showing negligence in this matter. The candidates said that their agitation will continue till their demands are met. However, it remains to be seen what action is taken on the petition filed in the Supreme Court in this matter.

Candidates should not be treated unfairly – CM Yogi

In this case, the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh decided not to appeal the decision of the Allahabad High Court in the Supreme Court. On August 19, CM Yogi organized a meeting with the Basic Teachers Department at his residence. In this meeting, CM Yogi said that our government has a clear opinion that reserved category candidates should get the benefit of reservation facility provided by the constitution. Along with this, he also said that injustice should not be done to any candidate.
