7 States, 13 Seats… Understand Complete Arithmetic Of Assembly Bypoll Results

After 39 days, another election results have come in the country. These results are for assembly by-elections. Which is out of 13 seats in 7 states. After the Lok Sabha election results, this number game of power is being seen as a fitness test of politics. The question was whether the Bharatiya Gathbandhan would topple the NDA or the NDA would get a booster dose of the by-election results after its victory in the Lok Sabha elections. And now the country has got the answer to these questions.

First let’s take a look at the political strike rate. Assembly by-elections were held on 13 seats in 7 states. Out of these, NDA could win only 2 seats while Janata gave India a chance to celebrate in 10 seats. Apart from this, an independent candidate has also won one seat. His story is also very interesting. NDA got two seats in the by-election. Thus, its strike rate is around 15 per cent, while the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has cleared the test with a whopping strike rate of 75 per cent.

How was the score card of parties in various states?

  • First let’s talk about Madhya Pradesh. From there comes a good news for the BJP as it has won the Amarwada seat included in the Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency, once a Congress stronghold, which was held by the Congress.
  • BJP has suffered the biggest blow in West Bengal. Where in the by-elections held on 4 seats, Mamata Banerjee’s TMC has made a clean sweep and made the BJP clean bold. Out of which three seats were previously held by BJP.
  • The biggest game happened in Bihar. Where JDU and RJD were left watching and an independent candidate won. This is the only seat out of 13 where an independent has come to power.
  • In the by-election held on 1 seat in Punjab, the magic of the broom went off and the Aam Aadmi Party got a big victory in the Jalandhar West assembly seat.
  • The Congress has done wonders in the hills as it has won two of the three seats in Himachal Pradesh while the BJP has had to settle for one win.
  • The Congress, which swept Uttarakhand in the Lok Sabha elections, won both the seats by sending the BJP empty-handed in the by-elections.
  • Apart from this, Tamil Nadu’s Vikravandi assembly seat has gone to India’s alliance DMK.

The wall of TMC has become stronger in Bengal

The state that has seen the most shocking results in this by-election to 13 seats is West Bengal. While the BJP cruised from 3 to 77 seats in the 2021 assembly elections, the omens are not good for it in this by-election of four seats. The results of the by-elections show that the TMC’s political walls have become stronger in Bengal.

Supti Pandey of TMC has won from Manikatala seat by more than 62 thousand votes. This seat was held only by TMC. TMC’s Krishna Kalyani has defeated the BJP candidate from Raiganj seat by 50 thousand 77 votes. In Bagda, Mamata Banerjee’s candidate Madhuparna Thakur has won by 33 thousand 455 votes. Even in South Ranaghat the lotus has dried up. TMC’s Mukut Mani Adhikari has defeated the BJP candidate by 39 thousand votes.

Independents changed the game in Bihar’s Rupauli

It is also necessary to talk about Rupauli assembly seat of Bihar. Because the biggest game in this by-election has happened on this seat. While JDU prepared for RJD candidates in its syllabus and RJD prepared for JDU in its syllabus, independent candidates appeared for the exam. That is, JDU and RJD kept watching and the seat went to an independent candidate. From where Shankar Singh won by more than eight thousand votes, while JDU’s Kaladhar Mandal is second and RJD’s Bima Bharti is third.

The seat fell vacant due to the resignation of JDU MLA Bima Bharti, who had contested on the RJD ticket in the Lok Sabha elections. After losing, RJD fielded her again from the same seat, but this time she finished third and the seat went to independent Shankar Singh.

All caste equations were destroyed in Rupali

Shankar Singh, who once ran the North Liberation Army in Kosi area, has won the Rupauli assembly by-election defeating all the political bigwigs of Bihar. Leaders in both the NDA and Bharatiya Janata Party groups, angered by the neglect, have shown their anger by allowing leader Apaksha Shankar Singh to win the election. In Rupauli, both the RJD and the JDU gave tickets to candidates belonging to the Gangauta caste, i.e. the most backward people. However, independent Shankar has won by destroying all caste equations.

What do the first election results after the Lok Sabha elections indicate?

  1. The power of the ‘India’ alliance became stronger than ever in many states.
  2. The results of the 13 assembly seats are a hot topic for the BJP
  3. Danger bell for BJP ahead of by-elections on 10 assembly seats in UP?
  4. Didi’s political stronghold in West Bengal is strong
  5. After a clean sweep in the Uttarakhand Lok Sabha elections, the defeat in the assembly by-elections is a setback for the BJP.
  6. Defeat in Badrinath after Ayodhya, Congress will get an opportunity to target BJP.
  7. Taking away the Amarwada MP seat from the Congress, the BJP said, the MP’s fort is 100 percent strong.
