Salman Khan’s film earned many times more than its budget

‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’ was released in the year 1994. Now 30 years have passed since the release of this film. Not only 30 years ago but even today people liked this movie very much. The film was directed by Sooraj Barjatya. It was made for Rs 4.5 crore and grossed many times over its budget. The film did a business of 128 crore rupees worldwide. Now Suraj talked about the film.

Sooraj Barjatya said that the screening of the film was organized at Liberty Cinema in Mumbai. This was a time when Liberty was showing B-grade films and its infrastructure was deteriorating. In such a situation, the family stopped coming to the cinema hall, so there was no proper toilet for women either. Suraj said Metro Cinema, now called Metro Inox. When he refused to show the film ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’. At that time, Nazir Hussain, the owner of Liberty, released his film in the theatre.

The atmosphere changed for Liberty as well

Sooraj Barjatya further stated that Rajshri Productions had agreed to all terms to release the film at Liberty. This includes upgrading the theater in all respects, installing a state-of-the-art wonder of the time, ultra stereo sound system and proper arrangement of toilets for women. After the success of ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’, the atmosphere changed for Liberty as well. People from far and wide used to come to watch movies in this cinema hall.
