The world’s most popular TV show ‘CID’ is once again going to make a comeback on the small screen. Six years ago, i.e. in the year 2018, Sony TV decided to off-air this crime show of Shivaji Satam. Before this, CID entertained the audience for 20 years. The industry got many talented actors through this show. Since the last 6 years since CID went off air, there has been a demand for the return of the show. If the sources are to be believed, now the makers have once again started working on the comeback of this show. However, all this is currently in the early stages and hence there is no confirmation about the show from the channel till now.
According to information received from sources by TV9 Hindi Digital, BP Singh’s ‘Fireworks Production’ recently signed an MoU with the CID team. An MOU is an agreement between two parties, which sets out the initial outline of the program between the two parties. However, this is just the first step towards making CID a new show and the production has already started other preparations along with the cast.

Channel approval is also required
Now the makers have to work on the new story of CID. After working on the script and concept, when they shoot the pilot episode and send it to the channel, it will be approved or rejected by the channel. The new season of the show will start only if the pilot episode is cleared. If the show takes off then it will be great news for the cast and fans of CID.
cid without Freddy
Even though CID will return to Sony TV. But Freddy, who added a touch of comedy to this serious show, will no longer be seen in the show. Last year, actor Dinesh Phadnis, who played Freddy, died of a heart attack. A new character can be introduced in the show in place of his character.

The CID team remained in the news even after it went off air
CID is one show that remained in the news even after its airing. Even today dialogues like ‘Something is wrong’, ‘Daya Darwaza Todo’ are viral on social media. recently’Sundar Dilruba is backNarrating an incident during the promotions of ‘Vikrant Massey’, he said that when he was shooting outside the film, he saw a lot of people standing there. He thought that all those fans have come to meet him and so Vikrant told his help that he will get ready and meet everyone. But when he gets ready, he realizes that the crowd is not for him but for CID’s ‘Abhijeet’ i.e. actor Aditya Srivastava who has acted in his film.
