A Penn State football ‘Stripe Out’ vs UCLA: Kickoff time, TV details finally set

Penn State football will welcome the UCLA Bruins to Beaver Stadium for the first time in 57 years with a noon kickoff.

The Nittany Lionssecond Big Ten game of their 2024 season on Oct. 5 will be televised by FOX, according to Big Ten officials. It’s designated as a “Stripe Out” game, meaning alternating sections of fans will be asked to wear either blue or white.

This will be UCLA’s first East Coast road game trip as a member of the Big Ten.

The Lions last played UCLA in State College in 1967 − losing 17-15 in Joe Paterno’s second season as head coach.

The No. 8 Lions (3-0) are preparing for their first Top 25 match-up of the season Saturday against Illinois in Beaver Stadium (7:30 p.m., NBC). The No. 21 Fighting Illini (4-0) are coming off an overtime victory at Nebraska.

The Bruins will face Top 10 Oregon at the Rose Bowl Saturday evening in Pasadena, Calif., before traveling to State College.
