But she did not know that the one with whom she had dreamed of being with for seven births would treat her worse than animals.
After the marriage, her husband started beating her. The husband was so much addicted to drinking that he was drunk day and night. He used to beat his wife at home. When the woman told her in-laws about this, they told her to give her husband some time and he would get better. But this did not happen. Husband’s addiction increased. The matter reached the woman’s maternal uncle. Because of which an agreement was reached between the two families.
The in-laws divorced the woman from her first husband and married her brother-in-law. The woman felt that her life might improve now. Everything was going well. The woman was happy with her new husband. Both also had four children. But in the meantime, the woman’s father-in-law died. His father-in-law got him married. Just what then? Now the new husband also started showing his colors. He also treated her like her first husband.
The woman told this to her mother-in-law. But this time no one even in his in-laws listened to him. The tired woman reached her mother’s house with her four children. Thought her husband might improve and come get her. But she was wrong. Neither husband came nor spoke to her. On July 7, the woman herself reached her father-in-law. But here she learns that her new husband has run away with another woman. Hearing this, the ground slipped from under the woman’s feet. Even her in-laws do not allow her to enter the house. The woman is wandering from house to house with her four children. Finally she went to the police station and registered a case against her husband and in-laws.
The divorce papers were kept by the in-laws
The case is from Etmaduddaula police station area. This woman, a resident of Hariparvat area, got married to Prakash, a resident of Nagla Chidda in the year 2009. After marriage she came to know that her husband is a drug addict. He has a bad habit of drinking alcohol. He used to beat his new daughter-in-law every day. As the matter escalated, the in-laws supported the woman. Divorced from first husband. The mother-in-law and father-in-law kept the stamp paper documents on the basis of which the divorce took place. Then she got married to brother-in-law Purushottam.
The attitude of the new husband changed
The woman said that brother-in-law-turned-husband Purushottam treated her very lovingly. Both also had four children. But Purushottam also changed when his father i.e. the woman’s father-in-law died. He started harassing her daily like her first husband. He told her he was trapped. He did not have to marry. He was saying – I have married on my father’s advice. I don’t even love you. The woman said- after hearing such words of her husband, it felt as if my world was ruined. His atrocities started increasing day by day. Many times he forced me to jump into the well with the children and die.
No one supported
The victim said – I told all this to my mother-in-law and other in-laws. But this time he also did not support me. I was forced to go to my maternal uncle’s house. Meanwhile, none of my in-laws noticed me. When more days had passed, on 7th July I myself reached my father-in-law. But my in-laws did not allow me to enter the house. I was attacked. Said your husband has run away with another woman. He is also married to that woman.
Police assured help
The woman told the police that sir help me. where will i go I have four small children. Who will raise them? Who will pay the costs? The police were also shocked after hearing the words of the victim. They have registered a case and started investigation. The woman’s in-laws will be questioned. The police have assured to bring justice to the woman. Currently, further proceedings are going on in this case.
