AAP MP Raises Issue Of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s Throne In Parliament, Appeals To Government To Bring Him Back

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha raised the issue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s royal throne in Parliament on Wednesday, July 24. Meanwhile, he demanded to bring it back. He said that the gold royal throne of Maharaja Ranjit Singh is kept in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The MP said that the Indian government should talk to the British government through international relations and try to bring the throne back to India.

The MP said that this issue is linked to the sentiments of the people of Punjab, so it cannot be ignored. Meanwhile, he also mentioned the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. During his address in the Rajya Sabha, the MP said he was proud to be from Punjab. They said that It is his good fortune that he comes from a Punjab background where Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singhji ruled. He said that in the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh everyone got justice, his rule was good governance in true sense.

‘Maharaja Ranjit Singh gave a message of humanity’

About Maharaja’s bravery he said that he was a warrior whose name makes great warriors tremble. He roared like a lion on the battlefield. The MP said that he has given a message not only of bravery but also of humanity to the whole world. The AAP leader said that during the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, all castes and religions were treated equally and there was no discrimination against anyone.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha said that Maharaja Ranjit Singh has been given the title of ‘greatest leader of all time’ in a BBC World History survey. The MP said that the throne of Maharaja Ranjit Singh should be returned to India so that the people of the country get a chance to see it. Along with this, the AAP MP also said that children should be taught about Maharaja’s bravery, humanity and state policy in books so that they know the true meaning of good governance.
