Troubles may increase for Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh. UP’s Saharanpur MP court has issued non-bailable warrants against six people, including Sanjay Singh and former SP MLA Anup Sanda. This case is more than two decades old. Sanjay Singh’s lawyer said that MP-MLA Court Special Judge Shubham Verma has issued non-bailable warrants against Sanjay Singh and others in the 23-year-old case. The next hearing of the case will be on August 20.

According to the complaint, 23 years ago there was a protest by blocking the road over electricity, water and other public issues. In this case, the Special Court had declared all the accused guilty on 11 January 2023. He was also sentenced to three months in jail. A fine of one and a half thousand was also imposed.

An appeal was filed in the MP-Legislature Court

Against this decision of the court, the accused filed an appeal in the MP-Legislature Court. Special public prosecutor Vaibhav Pandey said the court rejected the appeals of six convicts, including Sanjay Singh and Samajwadi Party leader Anup Sanda, who were convicted in the case. Also his punishment has been kept unchanged.

A protest was held on 19 June 2001.

He said that the MP-Legislature Court had given this order on August 6 while hearing the appeal of the convicts. On June 19, 2001, a protest was held near the city’s vegetable market, led by Anup Sanda, against poor power supply. Sanjay Singh, former councilor Kamal Srivastava, former councilors Vijay, Santosh and Subhash Chaudhary etc. participated in it.
