The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab is continuously taking action against corruption. The Chief Minister is running a campaign to make the entire state corruption-free. In this regard, an inquiry was conducted on the orders of Punjab Forest and Wildlife Conservation Minister Lalchand Kataruchak. After which Amritsar’s Financial Commissioner (Forest) Krishna Kumar has suspended Office Forest Officer Gulab Singh.
In fact, when the Forest and Wildlife Conservation Department noticed that the Divisional Forest Officer of Amritsar office, Gulab Singh belongs to the general category, but is working in the department on the basis of a fake certificate. During the investigation, it was found that he was placed in the department by creating a fake Scheduled Caste certificate.
The department has suspended the forester
The department investigated the entire matter with the Forest Range Officer of Muktsar Sahib. Allegations have surfaced in their preliminary investigation. Under these charges, Gulab Singh was suspended from service with immediate effect. After which the headquarters of Gurdaspur Divisional Forest Officer Gulab Singh has been established. After which the department has started a separate regular investigation against Gulab Singh.

In the year 2022, the anti-corruption Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab came to power on the hope that they would make the state corruption and drug free. Due to which Aam Aadmi Party won 92 out of 117 assembly seats and achieved majority. In recent times, the government has stepped up its campaign against corruption.
