Adani Group prepares to invest in Vietnam airport

The Adani Group, which has established a dominance in the country from the infrastructure to energy segment, will soon be seen making huge investments in foreign countries as well. According to a Reuters report, the Adani Group is considering investing in two airports in Vietnam. The Vietnamese government confirmed this on Wednesday. This news comes at a time when the company had also revealed some time ago the construction of a port there.

The report claims that this government announcement came after the meeting held in Delhi between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Adani Group head Gautam Adani. A statement issued by the Vietnamese government states that Adani Group wants to expand its cooperation with local partners in the aviation and logistics sector by developing Long Thanh and Chu Lai airports. In such a situation, the group is considering the investment, although at this time the Vietnamese government has not provided information on the amount or time limit of the investment.

Karan Adani had made these announcements.

Last year, Gautam Adani’s eldest son Karan Adani had announced plans to invest up to $3 billion in ports and renewable energy projects in Vietnam. He said this investment can be spread over a long period, potentially reaching around $10 billion. He said this would help the group’s expansion into other countries.

Investment proposal also made at Kenya airport

In addition to Vietnam, Adani Group is also looking to invest in Kenya’s airport. In this regard, the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) recently said that it has received a proposal from the Adani Group under a public-private partnership for the upgrading of Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). This proposal was submitted by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL). AAHL currently manages seven airports in India. In addition, Navi Mumbai Airport is also being developed.
