After the defeat of Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary in the Lok Sabha elections, there has been another big setback. Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has been released from the post of state Congress president. The All India Congress Committee has announced AICC Secretary Subhankar Sarkar as the state president with immediate effect. Congress leader KC Venugopal has said in a statement issued in this regard that Subhankar Sarkar has been appointed as the President of Bengal Pradesh Congress. At the same time, Venugopal praised Adhir Chaudhary’s work as the state Congress president.

Let us tell you that Shubhankar Sarkar is considered very close to Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi. He has served as the President of Youth Congress in Bengal.
