After A Long Discussion In Jammu And Kashmir, The Alliance Between National Conference And Congress Is Complete, There Will Be A Friendly Competition On 5 Seats.

Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections: After tough debates in Jammu and Kashmir, seats have finally been shared between the National Conference and the Congress for an alliance. In which there will be a friendly encounter between the two sides on 5 seats to end the dispute. In view of this meeting of the National Conference and the Congress, a lot of commotion was seen near Farooq Abdullah’s Gupkar residence since Monday morning.

During this period, Farooq’s residence was a center of attraction not only for media persons, but also for various small and large parties of supporters of National Conference leaders. The first round of the meeting started at 12:30 pm, while no result was clear till 3 pm. However, sources expressed the possibility of the alliance still being completed.

The meeting lasted till late evening at Farooq Abdullah’s residence.

After this, the time of the second meeting was given at 4 pm. At the same time, when no leader of the Congress high command reached Farooq Abdullah’s residence after 4 p.m., speculations about making or breaking the alliance began to heat up. However, at half past six in the evening, all the Congressmen reached Farooq Abdullah’s residence. In which senior Congress leaders KC Venugopal, Salman Khursheed, Pawan Kheda and Bharat Singh Solanki were involved.

Another meeting was held at Farooq Abdullah’s residence for about an hour, followed by a press conference. In the press conference, Farooq Abdullah, Tariq Hamid Kara, KC Venugopal, Salman Khurshid, Pawan Khera and Bharat Singh Solanki of Congress were present to give information about the meeting.

NC will contest on 51 seats and Congress on 32 seats

Congress leader Tariq Hameed Kara said that both the parties will contest on 51 National Conference and 32 Congress seats. Also, CPI (M) and Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) have been given one seat each. At the same time, in this meeting both agreed to fight a friendly contest on 5 seats.

When asked about the friendly competition, Congress leader Tariq Hameed Kara said that candidates from both parties will contest on these seats. Voting for the first phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held on September 18 for a total of 24 seats.
