After Ramkripal, Even Shyam Rajak Is Disillusioned With RJD, Is This Not A Sign Of The End Of The Lalu Era?

After the resignation of Shyam Rajak from RJD, the talk of the end of the Lalu era is in full swing. It is being said that first Ramkripal Yadav and now Shyam Rajak’s disillusionment with RJD is a sign that the era of Lalu Prasad is coming to an end. However, some senior leaders including Shivanand Tiwari, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, Monajir Hasan and Jagdanand Singh are still present in the party. Among these leaders, apart from Jagdanand Singh, the rest are not seen as active on the RJD platform. So now the talk that Lalu Prasad’s time is coming to an end has gained momentum. So apart from Ram Shyam, many other leaders are also facing danger.

Ramkripal Yadav, who looked like a shadow with Lalu Prasad in Patna, distanced himself from Lalu Prasad even before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Shyam Rajak has decided to leave RJD and join JDU for the second time. In such a situation, it is being said that Shivanand Tiwari who used to corner his opponents in every conversation, is silent these days, which is against his nature. Therefore, the silence of a leader like Sivanand Tiwari on the RJD issue is an indication that Sivanand Tiwari’s relationship with the core group of the party is no longer there.

Monajir Hasan and Abdul Bari Siddiqui are also in a similar situation.

Similar is the situation of Monazir Hasan, who was made the party’s vice-president, but RJD has fielded him in the Lok Sabha elections this time by giving him a ticket. Monajir Hasan wanted to contest from Begusarai, but the RJD gave away the Begusarai Lok Sabha seat to the Communist Party. Abdul Bari Siddiqui has been made MLC, but his time is also slipping from our hands like sand.

It is obvious that Jagdananda Singh is the President of the state and along with Lalu Prasad, Tejashwi Yadav is also paying attention to him as a loyal ally. An attempt was made to promote the youth brigade by making Jagdanand Singh’s son Sudhakar Singh the Minister of Agriculture in the grand coalition government in the RJD. Although Lalu Prasad continues to advise Tejashwi Yadav to revive the RJD, one cannot deny that the Tejashwi era is at its peak in the party. So it is not easy for a leader like Jai Prakash Yadav who lost the Lok Sabha election from Banka to get a big place in RJD.

Why was Shyam Parjak released?

Shyam Rajak hails from the Dhobi community and wanted to contest Lok Sabha elections from Jammu or Samastipur. RJD has fielded youth leader Archana Ravidas from Jammu. He played an important role in getting Maheshwar Hazari’s son Sunny Hazari a ticket from the Samastipur seat to the Congress. Apparently Shyam Rajak was hurt by this and isolated in the party, he thought it best to bid farewell to the RJD. Experts say that Shyam Rajak was confident that the RJD would not do justice to him even in the assembly elections.

So in view of the 2025 elections, he has once again decided to look for a new place. However, Shyam Rajak’s pain also came out in the year 2022 when he made shocking comments about Tej Pratap’s behavior during the National Convention in Delhi. Jagdanand Singh was also unhappy with Tej Pratap’s behaviour. Jagdanand Singh was convinced by Lalu Prasad’s recovery and after being away from party work for three months he came back to work for the party.

The place of old leaders in the party has started to decrease.

Obviously, the space of old and senior leaders in the party is shrinking. Therefore, many new faces have been tried as new leaders in the party, in whom Tejashwi Yadav has immense faith. These leaders include Abhay Kushwaha, Manoj Jha, Sanjay Yadav, Alok Mehta, Kari Shoaib, Shivchandra Ram who are considered more powerful in RJD. The party has tried to groom leaders like Shivchandra Ram and Archana Ravidas as Dalit faces and is busy grooming new leaders. Therefore, a section of the RJD believes that Tejashwi Yadav is now emphasizing on building a team of energetic and combative leaders. In such a situation, it is natural for the old leaders to stay by their side.

RJD is in favor of adding a new caste for its expansion?

RJD has been successful to a large extent in the Lok Sabha elections in generating more mics than Mai. The RJD, which considers Muslims and Yadavs as core voters, is trying its best to corner Kushwaha. So, Abhay Kushwaha, who won from Aurangabad, has been chosen as the leader of the parliamentary party, but he is also keeping an eye on the upper castes. So RJD is now constantly trying to become an A to Z party. It is being said that this time RJD will give many tickets to upper caste candidates in assembly elections.

So, by fielding leaders like Sudhakar Singh from Buxar and Munna Shukla from Vaishali, the RJD has been seen trying to send a positive signal to the upper castes during the Lok Sabha elections. But the RJD’s attempt is backfiring in Munger and Begusarai, where party candidates have been seen contesting on backward and forward issues.

The leader does not fit the new form of RJD

Apparently, the RJD was trying to make inroads into the Paswan community by bringing a leader like Kumar Sarvajit from Gaya into the Dalit community as well. This is the reason why the old leaders in the new form of RJD are no longer getting the prominence they once deserved. So, it is being said that the Lalu era is now coming to an end and the Tejaswi era has now started to take a firm hold in the RJD.
