Akhara Parishad On The Back Foot Regarding Action Against Fake Babas, Postpones Decision In Meeting


After the Hathras disaster, the Akhara Parishad has postponed its decision to take action against the alleged Babas who claim to be God. No proposal was made in this regard in a meeting held on Thursday with the Kumbh Mela administration of all 13 akhadas in Prayagraj. This meeting of all the Akharas organized in Gandhi Sabhagrih was also considered important that the Akharas would ban the entry of fake Babas in the Mahakumbh, but nothing happened. However, now the Akhara Parishad may take a different decision in the next few months.

Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad president Mahendra Ravindra Puri was seen avoiding the question of action against fake babas. He said that no proposal was made in this meeting regarding screening of fake saints or Babas and banning their entry into Mahakumbh. Therefore, a decisive step will be taken by the Akhara in the next few months on this subject. Mahant Jamunapari, secretary of Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani here, says that the government and administration have the power to identify fake babas and take action against them. So the administration itself should use its intelligence to identify such people and take action against them.

A meeting was held in the Commissioner’s office

Until now, only the ideas of government agencies were involved in the planning of Mahakumbh, but now the government wants to go a step further. A meeting was held with the justice administration on Thursday at the Gandhi Sabhagriha of the commissioner’s office in Prayagraj to take suggestions regarding organizing the 13 Akharas of Hindu Sanatan Dharma, the biggest attraction of the Maha Kumbh. Commissioner Prayagaraj Vijay Vishwas Pant said that on the instructions of the state government, a new system is being developed for the first time to maintain continuous communication with akhadas and sages during Mahakumbh. Officers of higher fair officer level will be entrusted with the responsibility for this, so that their problems and ideas are constantly aware and solutions can be found quickly.

Devotees will bathe in a concrete ghat for the first time

In a meeting held at Gandhi Auditorium with representatives of the Kumbh Mela administration and akhadas, the Mela administration informed that for the first time in Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, devotees will get a chance to take a dip in the sacred ghat. . Seven permanent ghats are being constructed on the instructions of the state government. According to Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, all these concrete ghats will be ready by November.

Kumbh Mela area will be polythene and non-vegetarian free

The commissioner said that keeping in view the possibility of possible floods, their construction work is now being carried out even at night, so that the construction can be completed on time. In this meeting of akhadas held at Gandhi Sabhagriha, representatives of akhadas demanded to keep Kumbh Mela area free of polythene and non-vegetarian food. The Mela administration has assured the saints and sages that the entire Kumbh Mela area will remain polythene free to maintain environmental cleanliness as per the Chief Minister’s intention.

The facilities of the arena should also be taken care of

The Kumbh Mela area will be kept non-vegetarian in full respect to the faith of the saints and devotees who come here. This will be ensured through various awareness campaigns and actions during the event. It was also said on behalf of Akhara Parishad President Mahendra Ravindra Puri that the number of sadhus-saints and Mahamandaleshwars in all the Akharas has increased, so equal allocation of land should be ensured for all the Akharas in the Kumbh Mela area. .

Apart from this, better facilities should also be provided to all the arenas. The official of the fair, Vijay Kiran Anand, has also assured the arenas that the fair administration will make arrangements for this to the best of their ability. Kumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand, Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant and many administrative officers were present in this meeting. Two representatives each from all 13 akharas participated in this meeting.
