Argentina lets Drake know he’s ‘not like us’ following Copa win over Canada

Argentina‘s men’s national team took its turn to diss Drake following its win over Canada in the semifinals at Copa América.

Following its 2-0 win over Canada on Tuesday, Argentina’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account posted an image with the caption, “Not like us, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐮𝐬.” The caption is likely in reference to Kendrick Lamar’s hit song, “Not Like Us,” which was one of the songs Lamar wrote about Drake in his recent beef with the fellow rapper.

Prior to Tuesday’s match, Drake placed a $300,000 wager that his native Canada would upset Argentina in the semifinal. Argentina was heavily favored to win at -295 while Canada held +900 odds. A regular-time draw was set at +400 odds.

If Canada had pulled off the upset, Drake would’ve won a whopping $2,880,000 million. Instead, he’s become the butt of social media scorn again, but this time receiving it from a sports team.

Drake hasn’t been shy to place major bets on sporting events in the past. Lamar actually included Drake’s gambling habits in one of his disses, saying the Canadian artist has “gamblin’ problems” in “meet the grahams.”

However, Drake has cashed in on some massive sports wagers over the last few years. He made out on a Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl wager in February, which earned him a cool $1.2 million.

The music icon has also won money off Argentina’s success before. He bet $1 million on Lionel Messi and Argentina to win the 2022 World Cup final.

Now, Argentina might not let Drake run to it when he needs a check balance.
