According to forest department officials, the leopard has hunted three people and killed several animals in the last four days. Teams are constantly roaming the forest in search of him. It is constantly sensing human movement and because of that it is constantly changing its position.

People don’t even go to fields and barns.

According to forest department officials, there are more than 25 leopards within a range of 150 km. However, in a recent wildlife survey, their number was found to be 5. On the other hand, according to Chatchi village sarpanch Ganesh Kher, the leopard has been seen continuously, though it is not yet confirmed whether it is the same man-eating leopard or other leopards also roaming around here. The attack of this man-eating leopard has spread so much fear among the people that people do not go to their farms and barns at night or even during the day. Surveillance has been going on from the ground to the sky for the past four days in search of the leopard.

Unable to eat all the prey, the leopard is hungry

Many times a panther has been spotted, but by the time its location is being traced, the panther has moved away. This leopard has killed 5 victims in just these four days. They include woman Hameri Gameti of Umaria village, 16-year-old girl Kamala of Undithal and Khumaram Gameti of Bhevdia village. Apart from this, the leopard has also hunted a cow and a bull. However, he could not eat any of these prey. 3 tranquilizer teams, 10 army personnel from Eklinggarh cantonment and more than 50 specialist personnel from 7 ranges of forest department are combing to capture this leopard. Not only this, 5 cages, 7 trap cameras, 3 night vision cameras and 2 drones have also been installed to catch them.
