Officials said on Saturday that an FIR has been registered against the leader of the attack group and others in connection with the incident and the matter is being investigated. The police claimed that the people who were attacked were not Bangladeshis but residents of the state.

In fact, after the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina’s government in Bangladesh, attacks on Hindu minorities and vandalism of temples were strongly condemned by pro-Hindu parties and intellectuals in India. It is alleged that Hindu Raksha Dal National President Bhupendra Chaudhary along with his supporters attacked with sticks people from other communities living in huts built on vacant ground in Madhuban Bapudham area of ​​Ghaziabad Commissionerate.

Meanwhile his hut was demolished and some places were also set on fire. The people living there were then attacked with sticks, the video of which also went viral. Based on the viral video, the Ghaziabad police have registered a complaint against Hindu Raksha Dal national president Bhupendra Chaudhary and his supporters.

Attacked on charges of being a Bangladeshi

The police took action on the incident and took Hindu Raksha Dal national president Bhupendra Chaudhary into custody. Giving information, ACP Kavi Nagar Abhishek Srivastav said that some people were living in a slum near Guldhar railway station in Madhuban Bapudham area. It is alleged that the Hindu Raksha Dal chief arrived with 15-20 of his supporters, accused them of being Bangladeshis, beat them up and started vandalizing their slums.

During the custodial police investigation, it was revealed that none of the people living in the shacks in the empty grounds were Bangladeshis. Taking note of the above incident, the police have registered a case against Hindu Raksha Dal president Bhupendra Chaudhary and his supporters under relevant sections and have taken the Hindu Raksha Dal national president into custody, police are looking for his remaining accomplices.
