Asaram, lodged in the Jodhpur Central Jail in the case of sexual harassment of the victim of UP’s Shahjahanpur, is coming out for treatment on a 7-day parole. When Asaram came out of jail, the victim’s father alleged that he only wanted to come out of jail to preach. If we talk about treatment, Asaram treatment was also possible in Jodhpur.
The victim’s father alleged that many kinds of abuse had been done before this as well. He said the video was circulated duplicating the victim and her father. Apart from this, many other types of false videos were circulated.
The victim’s father also expressed concern about the security arrangements for himself and his family and said that security personnel deployed on duty were not performing their duties properly. The victim’s father says that those who come for duty come at 11 am and leave at 6 pm.
He said that full police guard duties have been put on paper. But the guards deployed in the security system perform their duties arbitrarily. When the victim’s father spoke to Ashok Meena, SP, Shahjahanpur, about their security arrangements, he assured them of full security arrangements.
In fact, Asaram Bapu raped the 16-year-old victim, a resident of Shahjahampur, in his ashram in Jodhpur in the year 2013. Asaram was arrested on 1 September 2013 after the victim made allegations. In 2018, Asaram Bapu was sentenced to life imprisonment in this case. Now the Jodhpur High Court has granted seven days parole to the narrator for treatment.
Meanwhile, the victim’s father threatened his family saying that security should be increased, arguing that while Asaram was inside the jail, the key witness in his case, Kripal Singh (35), was shot dead at 10 am in Shahjahanpur Cantt. He was shot dead in July 2015. Another witness was shot dead in Muzaffarnagar.
