The auction of the famous Balapur Ganesh Ladu Prasad at Balapur in Hyderabad district of Telangana was the focus of the entire state. The auction of this ladoo has been completed and this year a local BJP leader bought it for 30 lakh 1 thousand rupees. Every time the auction of Bappa’s Prasad becomes a topic of discussion here, as the local people have a deep faith in this Ladoo.
Ladoo auctions first started in 1994. The competition to buy Balapur Ganesh Ladoo here is very high due to which the locals are familiar with it. It is said that this ladoo brings happiness, prosperity and good health to the buyer. Hence the competition to get this ladle. Senior BJP leader Kolan Shankar Reddy has won this ladu by bidding the highest this time. Let us tell you that he bid 30 lakh 1 thousand rupees for Ladoo.
BJP’s Shankar Reddy has also broken last year’s record in bidding for Ladoo. Last year, the bid for this laddu was 27 lakh rupees. 27 lakh was bid by Desari Dayanand Reddy. The amount received in the bid is carefully spent on the development works of Balapur. When the process of auctioning this laddu started in 1994, local farmer Mohan Reddy bid Rs 450 for the laddu. This tradition continues till today.
The previous year amount has to be deposited
The competition among local people to get this laddu, bappa’s prasad was increasing every year, due to which the committee had to implement a new rule. According to this rule, the amount that was the highest bid for last year’s ladoo has to be deposited in advance. Only after this he will be given an opportunity to bid for the ladle. It means that this year the people who participated in this bid had deposited 27 lakh rupees.
