Chandrababu Naidu has again asked the Central Government for money before the budget.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on July 23. Even before that, the coalition government’s two biggest allies have come up with a huge demand. On one hand, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had demanded over Rs 1 lakh crore for Amaravati and some major projects. On the other hand, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has also demanded Rs 30,000 crore from the Central government for the state.

But on Wednesday, Chandrababu Naidu again put forward a demand to the government, just six days before the budget. Let us know what demand he has made to the government this time…

What is the demand?

Ahead of the presentation of the Union Budget on July 23, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is on a two-day visit to Delhi to highlight the demands made for his state before Union ministers. After meeting Amit Shah, he will meet other Union ministers today. In the meeting with Shah, Naidu raised the issue of the financial position of his state. Naidu told Shah that he would release a white paper on this issue on Thursday, the fourth white paper by his government since it came to power last month. However, Naidu is completely silent on the agenda of his visit.

This may be a topic of discussion.

Naidu is expected to raise with Shah the demand for distribution of properties under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. At the time of bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh, this Act was passed to provide clear guidance to the Centre on the division of assets between the new state of Andhra and Telangana. It must also be understood that this is Naidu’s second visit to Delhi in about two weeks. On July 4, he laid out a seven-point development agenda before PM Modi, which is aimed at resolving the challenges following the bifurcation of the State. Naidu has been continuously demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh. Naidu reiterated this commitment in a statement after becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. As Naidu’s TDP party assumed the role of kingmaker in the central government, this demand gained further momentum.

You can also make this request.

Naidu is also likely to discuss with the Centre on speeding up the international airport in Vijayawada and implementation of the Centre’s drinking water projects. The Chief Minister, whose party provides crucial support of 18 Lok Sabha MPs, is mulling a special package for Andhra Pradesh. They may also put this demand before the government before the budget.
