Bihar: Family Rs. 15,000 Loan And Could Not Repay The Interest; Moneylenders Shot The Daughter


A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. At Sanjay Cinema Road in Brahmapura Police Station area here, moneylenders shot dead a ninth-grade girl for non-payment of interest on a loan of Rs 15,000. The name of the student is Manisha. The family has admitted the injured Manisha to Sadar Hospital for treatment. The student’s father, Pintu Jaiswal, has filed an FIR against two people at the Brahmapura police station.

In this case, the police arrested the accused father-son from Motihari, after committing the incident, the father went into hiding with his son in his in-laws house. Police have recovered one pistol, two cartridges, fire shell and magazine involved in the crime.

DSP Vinita Sinha said that the Brahmapura police station registered an FIR in the case and arrested both the accused. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused had a dispute with the student’s father regarding the transaction. For this reason the accused shot Manisha. A special team was formed after registering an FIR. Based on the mobile tower location, the police arrested both the accused father and son from Motihari.

The police caught both of them

During the police investigation, it was found that there was a dispute with the student’s family regarding the return of the money given on interest. Due to this, the two opened fire, in which the student was shot. The accused threw the pistol behind their house. Both father and son escaped after the incident. Rinku and her father went into hiding at their in-laws’ house in Motihari.

Police arrested Rinku and her father Shambhu Bhagat from Motihari. During interrogation, both admitted their involvement. Both were taken into judicial custody and produced before the court and sent to jail. According to the police, Rinku has gone to jail before.

Kiran Devi, the mother of Manisha, a student injured in the incident, said that 6 months ago, she had taken a loan of Rs 15,000 from the wife of the accused Rinku through her brother Chandan. Ten thousand rupees were paid gradually. Five thousand rupees more had to be paid. But Rinku was demanding interest on the loan amount. He said he will pay his remaining ₹5000 soon. But Rinku wanted the interest amount of Rs 5000 separately. She was refusing to pay interest. She had a quarrel with her cousin Chandan over this matter. After some time, Rinku’s wife also reached the spot and started arguing.

Meanwhile Rinku came with his father Shambhu Bhagat and started firing. Somehow they ran for their lives. Manisha remained outside. The accused shot her, leaving her bleeding. Due to the firing, there was chaos at the spot and both the accused father and son escaped from the spot after seeing the crowd of people.
