A unique bridge has been constructed in a village of Araria district of the state. 3 crore rupees were allocated for this. There is no road on either side of the bridge. Another reason to wonder is that rivers, canals and canals are often bridged, but the place where this bridge is built has none of these.

A unique bridge built 6 months ago

This unique bridge has been built in Parmanandpur village of Raniganj block of the district. Pictures and videos of this unique bridge are going viral on social media. By posting this, people are raising serious questions on the Bihar government. According to the villagers of the village, the bridge was constructed by the Rural Works Department (RWD) 6 months ago. Surprisingly, there is no connectivity for this bridge. The road is not built on either side. A road of about 3 kilometers long was to be constructed along this bridge by the department. But there is no government land around the bridge but private land of farmers. In such a situation, the bridge was built here but the road was not built.

Villagers say that this bridge is of no use. For 6 months it has remained only a showpiece. He said that where the bridge is built, it is built for a dead river Dulardei. Water is visible in this river only on rainy days. An official of the bridge construction department says that further work has stalled due to a land dispute. He says that this is not a bridge but a box culvert which is used for waterways. He said that it has been constructed under Gramin Marg Yojana. Araria District Magistrate Inayat Khan has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
