Bijnor Became A Stronghold Of Gangsters, A 16-year-old Girl Became A Victim; 39 People Have Died In One Year

Guldar’s terror continues in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnaur district. On Monday, Guldar again attacked and killed a girl. 16-year-old Saloni Saini was cutting fodder for cattle in the fields of Pilana village under Hempur Deepa police station area with her mother. Then suddenly the chickens that came out of the sugarcane field attacked Saloni and dragged him into the field. When Saloni’s mother raised the alarm, farmers working in the nearby fields chased Saloni and saved her from the hen, but by then the hen had bled her to death.

Goons have made life difficult for farmers, laborers and villagers in Bijnor. In the last one year, 39 people have lost their lives in 149 attacks in the district. And 110 people are seriously injured. The situation is so scary that farmers and laborers are afraid to even go to the fields, due to which agriculture is also affected. Necessary activities like ploughing, sowing, fertilizing, pesticide spraying and fodder and water for animals are also not done on time in the fields.

Bijnaur is surrounded by forest area on three sides.

Farmer organizations in Bijnor district regularly stage protests against the forest department and administrative offices demanding to get rid of chickens, but their voices remain buried in the files. Arun Kumar Singh, DFO, Forest Department, says that Bijnor is surrounded by forest area on three sides. On one side is the Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary and on the other is the Amangarh Tiger Reserve Park. Along with this Rajgarh, Sabalgarh, Saharanpur, Salibpur, Nagina, Najibabad, Sahuwala, Kaudia and Chandpur forest ranges have an abundance of wildlife.

47 gangsters were caught in one year

Wildlife like Guldar often come to villages and residential areas in search of drinking water and hunting and then settle in sugarcane fields as their permanent home. More than 400 Guldars are camping in fields in Bijnor. Here their population is also continuously increasing. Forest department SDO Gyan Singh says that 47 guldars have been caught in the last one year by placing cages, but due to the sugarcane area, guldars are very difficult to find easily.

The forest department has issued an advisory

Due to the increasing number of tigers in the forests, Guldars have moved into residential areas, as Guldars easily prey on dogs, cows and buffalo calves. They attack and kill humans whenever they get a chance. To avoid the calves, the forest department has asked three to four farmers to go to the field together and sing on mobile phones, sing bhajans and kirtans, not take children with them into the field and keep one person standing while working. A tax patrol advisory has been issued for a long time.
