BJP Workers Skeptical About Eknath Shinde-Ajit Pawar Contest In Maharashtra, Party Leadership Trying To Convince Them

Assembly elections in Maharashtra are still a long time away, but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already started preparations for the elections in the state. However, the party is worried about the resentment of a section of workers in the state. Besides, ahead of the elections, the party is also planning to organize a yatra in the name of Shivaji Maharaj across the state to engage and inspire its people.

In fact, the BJP first formed an alliance with the Shiv Sena, Eknath Shinde and then Ajit Pawar and shared power in the state. Now preparations are underway to go with Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the upcoming assembly elections as well.

The issue of corruption will be marginalized

In such a situation, BJP workers feel that going to the polls with Ajit Pawar will marginalize the issue of corruption in the party. Many BJP leaders feel that the alliance with Ajit Pawar has weakened the BJP’s fight against corruption. These leaders got a boost from Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement in the state executive in which he called Sharad Pawar the mastermind of corruption.

At the same time, one concern of BJP workers is that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar’s party is seeking maximum seats, in which case the rights of BJP workers will also be affected.

A section of the Shinde faction is not in favor of it

On the other hand, a large section of the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) is also not in favor of continuing the alliance with Ajit Pawar. The Shiv Sena says that till now its direct competition in the state was with the NCP which was then led by Ajit Pawar, so now the Shiv Sena workers feel uncomfortable working for Ajit Pawar.

There is another cause for concern for BJP workers. He believes that Eknath Shinde became CM and Devendra Fadnavis became Deputy CM but there are many political vacancies in the government which are not filled. This includes many political positions of government such as corporations, boards and trusts.

If you contest elections alone, it can be a loss.

This is the reason why a large section of BJP workers are of the view that it should go it alone in the assembly elections. Some senior BJP leaders also conveyed this wish of these Maharashtra BJP workers to the BJP high command in Delhi. But the BJP high command is of the opinion that going into the election with both parties would be beneficial.

The logic of the BJP central leadership behind this assessment is that if the BJP goes into the polls alone, Ajit Pawar’s party is likely to go to Sharad Pawar’s party and most of the Shinde (Shiv Sena) leaders are likely to go to the party. Uddhav Thackeray’s group. Which will directly harm the BJP in the elections. Besides, the party high command also believes that more than one and a half dozen MLAs of Ajit Pawar’s NCP are satraps of their respective constituencies and are not dependent on any party for victory. In such a situation, whether they stay in coalition or fight separately, their victory is certain.

Efforts to remove workers’ discontent

In such a situation, the BJP high command has given a message to its leaders to tell the ground reality by talking to the workers. The NDA government in Maharashtra will soon fill the vacant political posts in an attempt to smooth over resentment by adjusting BJP workers and leaders.

Along with this, the workers will also be assured that even though the party is in coalition, the party will fight the local body, municipal and municipal elections alone and in which the interests of the workers will be taken care of. Ahead of the assembly elections, the BJP is also planning to organize a yatra in the name of Shivaji Maharaj across the state to engage, organize and energize its workers.
