Blast In Chemical Bottle, Asha Worker’s Face Burnt, Going To Spray To Kill Dengue Mosquitoes

A woman with chemical burns

A case of gross negligence of the health department has come to light in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer. These days, antilarvae drugs are being sprayed door-to-door by health department teams in Jaisalmer to reduce the risk of malaria and dengue. In such a situation, the antilarvae drug itself has become a threat to the life of a hope ally. In fact, Manju Bhati, Asha Associate of Jaisalmer Center No. 9, was spraying anti-larvae medicine in houses during the field on Sunday.

Meanwhile, while opening a bottle of antilarva chemical, an explosion occurred and the liquid from it fell on Manju Bhati’s face. Meanwhile, Manju Bhati’s face, eyes and hands were burnt. A woman standing nearby, Sanju and Mahesh’s wife, also got splattered on her face.

Spraying drugs is prohibited

In such a situation, both the injured were brought to Jaisalmer’s Jawahir Hospital, where Sunita Garg, an Asha associate who worked with Manju, said doctors at the hospital refused to treat her. The doctors talked about filing a case, on which we also informed the higher officials of the medical department. So far no help has been provided by the health department for their treatment.

In such a situation, there is an atmosphere of fear among Asha associates and they say that they will not spray this chemical liquid anymore. While Asha’s associate Sunita Garg has alleged that she was neither given any training nor gloves for this. If the effect of this chemical is fatal then it will not work in the future. The family alleges that even after such an incident with the health department personnel, no health department official has come to meet them. No satisfactory answers are given to them anywhere. Now in such a situation, the question is who is responsible for such great negligence?

Seeing the situation escalating late in the night, CMHO BL Bunker spoke to the victim’s family and took her to Jawahir Hospital. After this the doctors started treatment, only then Asha associate Manju Bhati got relief. Weaver said this type of damage caused by antilarvae is a concern and we will have it investigated.
