A major accident took place late Sunday night in Hajipur, Bihar. Here the DJ in the trolley was hit by high tension wires. Due to which nine people traveling in the trolley died due to electric shock. More than six Kanwariyas were badly burnt due to electrocution. The incident took place in Baba Chuharmal area of Jandaha Road Industrial Police Station area. As soon as this incident happened, there was chaos at the place. What did this eyewitness say happened at the time of the accident?
Shivam, an eyewitness present at the spot, said that he was going to Pahlaja Ghat from Sultanpur in a DJ trolley with his friends. Jalabhishek was to be done in Baba Hariharnath Temple by taking water from Pahalja Ghat on Monday morning. All the Kanwariyas were dancing and singing to the tunes of the DJ. Then suddenly Baba Chauharmal came near the place where the trolley and the DJ in it hit the high tension wire. Many Kanwariyas were present on the trolley then. As soon as the current was switched on, the coils were pulled into it. There was an uproar.

Eyewitness said – We saw that 9 Kanwariyas were burnt. The remaining two Kanwariyas were badly burnt. He still had life left in him. People rushed to help the injured. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. The injured are being treated there. The accident happened in just 15 seconds. No one even got a chance to recover. The bodies of the electrocuted people were badly trapped in the trolley. On getting information about the incident, many police officers including Sadar SDPO Omprakash reached the spot along with the police force. All the dead bodies were removed from the trolley by the policemen and sent for post-mortem.
Who died, who was injured?
After getting information about the incident, Vaishali DM Yashpal Meena reached Sadar Hospital Hajipur and inquired about the injured. All the deceased were residents of Barai Tola Jadhua in Sultanpur and Hajipur. The deceased include 18-year-old Ravi Kumar, 29-year-old Naveen Kumar, 24-year-old Raja Kumar, Amod Paswan, 14-year-old Chandan Kumar, 18-year-old Ashish Kumar, 18-year-old. Elderly Suman Kumar alias Kallu, 18-year-old Ashiq Kumar and 26-year-old Naumi Kumar. Among the injured are 18-year-old Sajan Kumar and 17-year-old Rajeev Kumar. He is undergoing treatment at Sadar Hospital.
Compensation to the families of the deceased
SDO Ram Babu Bedar has given compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of all the deceased on behalf of the electricity department. He also expressed grief over this incident. Said – We are with the victimized families in this hour of grief. The injured will be given good treatment.
Chirag Paswan expressed condolences
Along with this, Union Minister Chirag Paswan has also expressed grief over this incident. Said that all possible help will be given to the victim’s family in this tragic incident. We can feel how the victims’ families must be feeling at this time. May God rest all the departed souls.
