The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has announced its candidates for four seats for the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024. The elections are scheduled to be held on 1 October 2024, with the BSP deciding to contest the elections in alliance with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). This time BSP president Mayawati has taken the help of alliance to increase her strength in Haryana.

For each of the four seats for which the party has announced candidates, each candidate has been selected after discussions with local party leaders and workers. BSP has fielded Darshan Lal Khera from Jagadhari assembly seat. Tickets have been given to Gopal Singh Rana from Asandh seat, Harbilas Singh from Narayangarh and Thakur Atal Lal from Ateli.

BSP changed tactics

BSP has a long history in Haryana, but in the last few elections the party has not had the success it was looking for. This time the party has changed its strategy and formed an alliance with the INLD, which could give it a strong base.

Each of the four candidates announced by the BSP has political experience and understanding of local issues. The party believes that these candidates will be able to establish their identity among the local people and achieve success in the elections. Let us tell you that this is BSP’s first list for the Haryana assembly elections, and the party has made it clear that it plans to contest all 90 seats.

Challenge other parties?

Party leader Dharampal Tigra said that he will work for the development of Haryana and the upliftment of all sections of the society. The BSP’s move could pose a challenge to other political parties, especially the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. The political equations are changing fast in Haryana and the BSP-INLD alliance could play an important role in this election.
