Rajasthan did not get anything directly in the Union Budget

Although Rajasthan did not get anything directly in the first budget of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at the Center for the third time in a row, Rajasthan is still benefiting. Rajasthan is expected to benefit the most from the central government’s food security, oilseeds mission and the Marwar Industrial Project. According to an estimate, these three projects will directly benefit about 5 crore people of the state. Food security and oilseeds missions are also very important in this.

In the Union Budget, it has been announced to continue the provision of free food grains to 80 crore people of the country for the next five years under the Food Security Scheme. In Rajasthan alone, 4.46 crore people are connected to this scheme. Apparently, through this scheme, they will also get free food grains for the next five years. Similarly, Rajasthan is also going to benefit a lot from the oilseeds mission. According to a report by the Union Ministry of Agriculture, a large part of Rajasthan is a belt of pulses and oilseed crops. The largest production of oilseed crops in the country occurs in this belt.

Pulses and oilseeds missions benefit farmers

About 86.66 lakh farmers in Rajasthan are directly involved in the production of oilseed crops. In this budget, the central government has announced a new mission for pulses and oilseeds. Under this mission, a comprehensive market will be arranged for production, storage and purchase and sale of these crops. So 86.66 lakh farmers of the state will definitely benefit from this mission. Let us tell you that about 82 lakh tonnes of oilseeds are produced in Rajasthan. In which the production of mustard alone is more than 60 lakh tons.

The project is expected to generate more than 5 lakh jobs in Rajasthan alone. Under this project, 1578 acres of land has been acquired in Jodhpur and Pali districts adjacent to the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Work has been started to develop an industrial hub here.
