A bulldozer ran over the memorial of Munish Yadav, the brave martyr of Kargil
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has termed the bulldozing incident at the martyr’s memorial in Mainpuri as tragic. He said that the BJP is now using bulldozers even on the martyr’s memorial. Akhilesh said that the audacity of the administration to destroy the memorial of Kargil martyr Munish Yadav in Mainpuri is infuriating the soldiers and patriots of the country.
He said that the BJP will never understand the value of martyrdom of those who sacrificed for the sake of the country as history is a witness of those who were the eyes and ears of the colonial rulers in the freedom movement. By supporting the freedom fighters, how can they know the value of the sacrifice? BJP’s politics has started discriminating even among the martyrs.
A memorial to the brave martyr Munish Yadav was built in 2000
Akhilesh said that this is a form of negative politics. He said that if there is even an iota of shame left in the BJP, it should immediately suspend all senior officials from the mandal to the district level and restore the statue-monument with dignity. Otherwise we will all work together. This incident is highly condemnable. According to reports, the tehsil workers had started bulldozing on the memorial of the martyr without informing his family members. In the year 2000, a memorial was built for the brave martyr of Kargil, Munish Yadav.
BJP is now bulldozing the Shaheed Memorial too. The audacity of the administration to demolish the 2000 statue of Kargil martyr Munish Yadav in Mainpuri at the behest of the government is creating quiet anger among the country’s soldiers and patriots.

What is the whole matter?
The entire case is from Gadhia Ghutara village of Bewar police station in Mainpuri. Kargil martyr Munish Yadav was awarded Shaurya Chakra posthumously. The revenue team started a bulldozer on their monument. The family members of martyr Munish Yadav have complained about this to Mainpuri DM Avinash Krishna Singh. The martyr’s family alleged that the memorial was bulldozed without informing them and in their absence. During this time, accountants and revenue inspectors were also present at the memorial site. This operation was done in his presence.
It is also alleged that Lekhpal Harsh Kumar had measured the land of the martyr’s memorial last year and marked it and now the same Lekhpal Harsh Kumar is saying that the measurements made by him were wrong and Lekhpal Harsh Kumar along with some people of the village bulldozed the site. Demolished the Martyr’s Memorial using When Additional District Magistrate Ramji Mishra came to know about the matter, he constituted a team headed by Tehsildar Kisni and asked him to investigate the proceedings of the accountant concerned and submit its report to the headquarters.
