A major accident took place late Monday night near the Mumbai Express Highway in Maharashtra. In which a bus collided with a tractor and fell into a ditch, 5 people died and 40 people were injured. According to police officials, all the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

He said that 42 people injured in the accident have been shifted to MGM Hospital for treatment, while three people have been sent to a government hospital. Doctors have said that 5 people have died so far.
Officials said the bus carrying devotees was on its way from Kesar village in Dombivli to Pandharpur in Maharashtra when the accident took place. Vehicular traffic was stopped on Mumbai-Lonavala lane of Mumbai Express Highway after this incident. The bus was lifted out with the help of a crane and traffic was restored on the lane three hours later.
