Chhattisgarh News: A 10-year-old boy was killed by a bomb in Naxal-hit Bijapur district on Saturday. Hidma Kawasi was killed by a pressure bomb near Pediya village in Gangalur police station area of ​​the district, police officials said.

He said that Hidma, a resident of Mutavendi village, had gone to the forest to graze goats. At the same time, at 2:30 pm he was near Pedia village when his foot fell on a pressure bomb, causing the bomb to explode and seriously injuring the child. At the same time, he was immediately admitted to the hospital. Where the child died due to excessive bleeding.

CRPF personnel admitted to hospital

Officials said that the child’s mother was present at some distance when the blast occurred. Due to which she was saved from being a victim of the explosion. He said the woman informed the villagers about the incident, after which they took the child on foot to the Mutavendi camp of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Officials said the child was given first aid at the camp. And then CRPF personnel admitted him to Bijapur District Hospital. The bridge over the river at Cherpal between Gangalur and Bijapur was overflowing, so it took time to cross and the boy was admitted to the hospital at 6 pm. Where the child died due to excessive bleeding.

Six people have died in the last 100 days

To target security personnel patrolling the interior areas of Bastar region, Naxalites often plant pressure bombs or landmines along roadsides and under-construction roads and paved forest paths.

Police officials said that civilians have been killed in such explosions in this area of ​​seven districts including Bijapur. According to the police, six people have been killed in landmine blast incidents at different places in Bijapur district in the last three and a half months.
