Chhattisgarh: On Teeja-Pora, Mahathari Vandan Festival, CM Vishnudev Sai Gave Rs 1000 To 70 Lakh Women.


Teeja, the traditional festival of Chhattisgarh, was celebrated with much fanfare at the residence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai on Monday. A large number of women reached the Chief Minister’s residence to participate in the grand function of Teeja-Pora Mahatari Vandan Tihar along with Vishnu Bhaiya. Teeja-Pora, on the occasion of Mahathari Vandan Tihar, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai paid an amount of Rs 1,000 each through online DBT mode as the seventh installment of Mahathari Vandan Yojana into the accounts of 70 lakh mothers and sisters of the state. 653 crore rupees were paid to 70 lakh women in the seventh installment under the Mahathari Vandan Yojana today. Including this, an amount of Rs 4578 crore has been paid so far.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the National Nutrition Month in the state and also administered the Nutrition Month oath to women. CM Sai flagged off the Suposhan Rath from the Chief Minister’s residence and also released the National Nutrition Month poster. At the beginning of the programme, Chief Minister Sai along with his wife Kaushalya Sai prayed to Lord Shiva and wished the state happiness, prosperity and prosperity.

The Chief Minister wished the people of the state on Teeja

On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated the mothers and sisters who came to celebrate Teeja. He said that this is a very happy occasion. Sisters have come here from all the districts of the state on my invitation, I welcome you all. During Teeja, married women observe Nirjala Vrat and offer prayers to Lord Shiva and Parvati, praying for the long life of their husbands.

The Chief Minister said that today is Pora Tihar, which is dedicated to the love of farmers and animals in the tradition of Chhattisgarh. Also three days later is Teeja, which is considered the biggest festival for married women. According to the Puranic texts, Mother Parvati observed a difficult fast of Teeja for Lord Shankar. Today we have announced the seventh installment of Mahatari Vandan Yojana to mothers and sisters. In the first week of every month, we transfer one thousand rupees to their account under Mahathari Vandan Yojana.

Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade said that today we have all come to our elder brother’s house to celebrate Teeja and Pora. Our Chief Minister is celebrating the traditional festival of Chhattisgarh, Teeja, Pora with great pomp, we all thank him. Mrs. Rajwade said that implementation of Mahathari Vandan Yojana in the state has awakened confidence among women.

Decorated CM accommodation in a traditional rural setting

The Chief Minister’s residence was specially decorated for Teeja-Pora Mahatari Vandan Tihar along with Vishnu Bhaiya. On this occasion, a glimpse of the traditional rural atmosphere was seen in the Chief Minister’s residence. Chhattisgarh folk artists gave colorful performances at the Chief Minister’s residence. Traditional games of Chhattisgarh like balloon, chair race and tug of war were also organized at the Chief Minister’s residence on the occasion of Mahathari Vandan Tihar. On the occasion of Teeja-Pora Tihar, the Chief Minister’s residence was decorated with traditional bullock carts, Nandia-bulls and toys.
