Nautad Tok of Bhilangana block in Tihri, Uttarakhand has suffered heavy damage due to cloudburst. District Disaster Management Officer Brijesh Bhatt said that a hotel was washed away in Nautar Tok, resulting in two deaths. About 200 devotees who went on Chardham Yatra are stuck. A rescue operation is underway to save them. Its owner Bhanu Prasad (50), his wife Neelam Devi (45) and son Vipin (28) went missing after the hotel was washed away. During the rescue operation, the bodies of Bhanu and his wife Neelam were found 100 meters away from the spot. Meanwhile the son is still missing.

Rains have become a disaster for the hill districts of Uttarakhand. Cloudburst in Nautad Tok of Bhilangana block of Tihri on Wednesday night did not cause any damage. Suddenly the water from the top of the mountain washed away a hotel. Many animals also started flowing in it. There were no passengers in the hotel at the time of the accident. Only hotel owner Bhanu Prasad, his wife Neelam Devi and son Vipin were there. These three people were also stretched in the water. As soon as the information about the accident was received, a team of police and SDRF reached for rescue operations. The rescue team recovered the bodies of hotel owner Bhanu Prasad and his wife Neelam at a distance of 100 meters from the spot. The search for the son continues.

Heavy rains coupled with high winds have also increased the water level of several mountain rivers. As for Kedarnath Dham, 20 to 25 meter feet of path near MRP in Bhimbli has been washed away due to heavy rains. There are big stones in the way. 200 passengers have been safely stopped at Bhimbli GMVN. The temple has been completely evacuated due to rising water level of Mandakini river. At the same time, the parking lot in Sonprayag has been evacuated due to the rising water level of the river. There were no casualties here.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also became active due to the events taking place between cloudburst and heavy rain. CM Dhami himself inspected sensitive areas across the state. CM Dhami also took information from Secretary Disaster late at night. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar has made an important appeal for Chardham pilgrims and devotees.
