Deadly Rain In UP! 10 People Died In 24 Hours, Houses Collapsed, People Worried


Conditions are bad in Uttar Pradesh due to rains. Many districts of the state are in the grip of heavy rains. 10 people have died in separate incidents due to rains in the last 24 hours. Of these, five people have lost their lives in Mainpuri district, two each in Jalaun and Banda and one in Etah. According to the Meteorological Department, more than a dozen districts of Oudh and Rohilkhand regions are likely to witness heavy rains, flash floods and other rain-related incidents. A warning has been issued in 19 states for lightning, strong winds and heavy rain.

State Relief Commissioner GS Naveen Kumar has deployed teams of Flood PAC, SDRF and NDRF as required for 24-hour monitoring of heavy rainfall districts in view of incessant rainfall in the state. The Meteorological Department has recorded an average rainfall of 28.6 mm in the state during the last 24 hours. 51 out of 75 districts of the state have received excess rainfall. Hathras district recorded the highest rainfall of 185.1 mm. According to IMD, West Uttar Pradesh is likely to experience heavy rain on Friday. At the same time, eastern Uttar Pradesh will experience drought from September 13 to 17.

Pressure has built up in UP, heavy rains are falling

Rainfall in Uttar Pradesh for the last 48 hours is due to pressure in the western parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there was pressure over southwest Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas on Wednesday. It moved east-northeast at a speed of 10 kmph and on Thursday was 70 km southwest of Shahjahanpur, 90 km west of Hardoi, 100 km south of Bareilly, 130 km east-south of Aligarh and 130 km east-northeast of Agra.

It is likely to continue moving east-northeast and maintain its intensity on September 12 and then gradually weaken from Friday. The system is continuously monitored by Doppler weather radars located in Delhi and Lucknow.

Heavy rains in these districts

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Amroha, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Sravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitaharpur districts of the state. expressed. Lightning warning has also been issued in some areas. Similar situation is likely to prevail in Agra, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Kasganj, Firozabad, Aligarh.
