Delhi Mayor Dr. Shaili Oberoi Wrote To The MCD Commissioner Seeking A Response On The Complaints Of Littering.

Delhi Mayor Dr Shaili Oberoi has written to the MCD Commissioner regarding the complaints of littering. In which he has asked the MCD Commissioner for an answer regarding the piles of garbage at many places. The Delhi mayor wrote in the letter that whether the MCD commissioner is aware that waste collection agencies have been banned under the MCD.

These agencies go to every house and collect the waste. By banning this, heaps of garbage are being created, due to which the common man is suffering. He has written a letter seeking a reply from the commissioner and also said that it can cause many health related problems. In this letter, the mayor has also asked four questions to the commissioner.

Public anger against waste agency

He wrote in the letter that complaints are coming from all the wards that garbage collection vehicles are not reaching people’s homes. Due to which garbage is piling up in many places in Delhi. Due to which the people of Delhi can become seriously ill. They can also suffer from serious diseases like dengue. Along with this, she said that to know the real reality better, she went to several wards last week, where she learned that garbage collection vehicles were not going door to door to pick up garbage. He said that everyone is unhappy with the management of the waste agency.

An ultimatum of two days was given

Along with this, he also asked four questions to the commissioner, first of which he asked if you know that the waste agency is not taking the waste from door to door in many areas of Delhi. Along with this he has also asked the reason for this. While raising the third question, he said that what is the reason behind the garbage collection agency doing this? He has also sought clarification on this. In the last question, he told the commissioner that there could be a big threat to the health of the people of Delhi. Also, he has given two days to the commissioner till 26th September to reply to this letter.
