Delhi: The Largest Camp Built At Kashmiri Gate, Accommodation For 20,000 Shiva Devotees, Minister Atishi Took Stock

Organized Kanwar camp in Delhi’s Kashmiri Gate

Kanwar Yatra has started from Monday. Kanwariyas from all over the country are going to collect Ganga water. In such a situation, various arrangements are being made at various places for their convenience. Even in the capital Delhi, special arrangements have been made for Kanwariyas. The Delhi government has organized a Kanwar camp at Agrasen Park located at Kashmiri Gate. All the facilities are provided for Kavadis in this camp.

Arrangements have been made to accommodate 20 thousand Kanwariyas at a time in this special camp. Yad Shibir is one of the largest camps in the country. On Wednesday, Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi inspected the camp and supervised the preparations. Meanwhile many officials were also present with him. The minister reviewed the arrangements made for the Kanwariyas in the camp.

The Delhi government is organizing 185 Kanwar camps across Delhi, including Kashmiri Gate. These camps are equipped with all basic facilities. Here solid arrangements are being made for all kinds of facilities including water proof tents, toilets, clean water, medical etc. So that virgins do not have to face any kind of problem and they get all kinds of facilities. The government has instructed the district administration to complete the preparations at the earliest.

Organized 185 Kanwar camps in Delhi

Meanwhile, Minister Atishi said that wherever the Kanwar camp is organized along the way, the Delhi government is cooperating with it. He said that the largest Kawad camp has been set up in Delhi’s Kashmiri Gate, where more than 20 thousand Kanwariyas come from various places. He said that 185 similar posts have been installed in Delhi, including Kashmir Gate, in which the Delhi government is fully cooperating.

Kanwar Yatra will end on 19th August

As soon as the month of Sawan begins, the Kavadyatra begins. With the start of Sawan from 22nd July, the Kavad Yatra has also started from the same day which will end on 19th August. In Kavad Yatra, Kanwariyas walk from Haridwar to collect Ganga water and perform Jalabhishekam of Shivling.
