How much did Bad News earn?
The pair of Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri became popular as soon as they hit the theatres. The film also had the advantage of having Amy Virk. Bad News opened very well in theatres. The film earned around Rs 30 crore in the first weekend itself. Apart from this, its collection reached Rs 42.80 crore in the first week. After this the earnings of the film did not increase that way. The film collected during the weekdays but this contribution did not seem fair compared to its budget. And even in its second weekend, the film could not do anything special. Bad News, which earned Rs 30 crore in the first weekend, could not even earn Rs 10 crore in the second weekend.
The impact of the film’s declining earnings was clearly visible on the 11th day and for the first time in these 11 days the film’s collection went below Rs 2 crore. Bad Samachar earned Rs 53.15 crore in 11 days. Compared to other Bollywood movies released in 2024, this collection is not that bad, but when it comes to the budget of this movie, it seems to be Rs 5-10 crore less. Its budget is said to be Rs 80 crore. In this sense, the film still needs to earn Rs 27 crore to recover its budget. This can only be possible if the film does well in the weekend. Otherwise, it seems difficult for the film to earn even Rs 70 crores. This is also unfortunate as this is happening suddenly after a strong start.
