India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra will return to the country with a silver medal this time. Neeraj Chopra managed to win a silver medal in the men’s javelin throw final round at the Paris Olympics. Special preparations were made for the final round in his village Khandara in Panipat. Hundreds of people from his village along with Neeraj’s family watched his performance on the big screen.
Neeraj Chopra’s father Satish Chopra said that the country had expected a gold medal but winning a silver medal was also a matter of pride for him. Neeraj’s uncle also praised his Olympic performance and said he will do better in 2028.

The whole village erupted in joy
As soon as Neeraj Chopra won the medal, his entire village erupted in joy. Someone was distributing laddoos and someone was bursting crackers. Meanwhile, people were celebrating Neeraj’s silver medal by dancing to the tunes of the DJ till late night.

The family expressed happiness
On Neeraj Chopra’s silver medal win, his mother Saroj Devi said, “We are very happy, silver is gold for us.” He was injured, so we are happy with his performance. Neeraj’s father Satish Chopra said that he has won a silver medal for the country, we are happy and proud. All the youth will be inspired by him. Also Neeraj Chopra’s grandfather Dharam Singh Chopra said that he gave his best performance and added one more medal for the country by winning the medal.
