DNA Report Called For In Ayodhya Rape Case, Lucknow High Court Orders On Bail Plea Of ​​accused

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Saturday ordered the DNA report of the fetus aborted by the victim in the Ayodhya rape case. The bench ordered the director of the forensic science laboratory to submit the report within a week. September 30 has been fixed for the next hearing of the case.

A single bench of Justice Pankaj Bhatia gave this order on the bail plea of ​​accused Mueed Ahmed (71). The accused claimed that he was implicated in the case for political reasons and was not given any documents.

Opposing the plea, Additional Advocate General VK Shahi, on behalf of the state government, argued that the case is very serious and the victim is a minor. He said that the victim also became pregnant after the incident and after the abortion the samples have been sent for DNA test.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court ordered the DNA test report. The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a bakery owner Mueed and his employee from Pura Kalandar area of ​​Ayodhya district on July 30 in a rape case. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed in the assembly that the accused are affiliated with the Samajwadi Party.
