Govinda claimed in an interview that he was offered a role in veteran Hollywood director James Cameron’s film ‘Avatar’. His claim was widely debated and even ridiculed by many. Now the statement of former chairman of Censor Board and producer Pahlaj Nihalani has come out on this comment of Govinda.

Pahlaj Nihalani while talking to Friday Talkies said that Govinda must have made this statement in confusion as he was making a Hindi film called Avatar with Govinda. He said, “I did a film with him called Avatar. I shot 40 Minutes, which I consider one of my best films. But then that film was stopped.

‘The disc of the brain has rotated’

Pahlaj Nihalani said, “I don’t know what came to his mind with the title Avatar. Later he kept claiming that I was working there (Hollywood) in his avatar. The disk spun in his mind and the language changed from Hindi to English.”

Pahlaj said, “He (Govinda) said that he was offered an avatar, but he forgot that he was an avatar of Pahlaj Nihalani. So this was a big tragedy. He said let’s hold it and do something else. We tried to finish the film in the schedule, but at the last minute he ate some almonds with tea and he started fainting and from that day he was not in a good mood.

Pahlaj Nihalani accused Govinda, saying that he started talking nonsense, which caused the schedule to move forward. A few songs and parts of the climax were left over from the film, but he did not shoot them. The shot would be ready, he would wake up and then he would pass out.
