Pacemaker supplier Indrajeet in Etawah police custody
The police have got a big breakthrough in the much-discussed pacemaker case of Etawa in Uttar Pradesh. Police have nabbed the main supplier of fake pacemakers to the hospital. The supplier has been identified as Bhaduram’s son Indrajit Kumar. The supplier, a resident of Azamgarh, was arrested near Gate No. 3 of PGI Saifai. The fraudster supplied 80 fake pacemakers along with the then Dr. Samir Saraf of the Cardiology Department of Saifai Medical University.
The doctor also fitted these pacemaker patients. 17 patients have died after this. This created a commotion and later after arresting the doctor an attempt was made to save the remaining patients. Accused Indrajit during police interrogation said that he works at Krishna Health Care Company in Kanpur. This company supplies pacemakers to Biotonic Company. He said that in the year 2018, he met PGI Saifai’s Dr. colluded with Sameer Saraf and conspired to make non-MRI pacemakers available to patients by labeling them as MRI pacemakers.
80 non-MRI pacemakers were installed
Indeed, at that time an MRI pacemaker from Biotronic Company was priced at Rs 2 lakh, while a non-MRI pacemaker was available for Rs 80 thousand. In such a situation, he started charging the cost of MRI pacemakers by fitting patients with non-MRI pacemakers. According to the accused, he used to get 10 percent of the amount recovered and the remaining amount to Dr. Sameer was taking. The accused said that he Dr. A total of 80 pacemakers were given to Sameer.

After the disclosure of the case, the police on 7 November 2023, the main accused in the incident, Dr. Sameer was arrested. In this regard CMS Dr. Adesh Kumar Dr. A case was filed against Sameer Saraf on charges of unnecessary arbitrage buying, pacemaker fraud, unnecessary foreign trips and embezzlement. In this sequence, Indrajit, son of supplier Budharam, originally a resident of Tandwa in Azamgarh, was arrested on Sunday. This thug used to live in Maswanpur of Kanpur these days.
A Very Big Racket: Police
According to Etawah SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma, the accused has made several major revelations during police interrogation. The accused stated that he supplies both types of pacemakers on behalf of his company. Once he Dr. was talking to Sameer and planned to make such a mess. Then both of them did this illegal business together. The case was investigated by the then CO of Saifai, Nagendra Chaubey. He said that this is a huge racket and many people are yet to be arrested in it.
