Accused constable in police custody
An intoxicated police constable created a ruckus at an electricity sub-station in the Malipur police station area of Ambedkar Nagar. Meanwhile, the constable also fired from the pistol. A video of a police constable firing a pistol is going viral. A case has been registered in this matter and the constable has been arrested. The arrested constable is posted at Lucknow Commissionerate and has been missing from duty for nearly four months.
According to the information received, the constable who came to the power house at Jafarganj in Malipur police station area late at night reached there and abused the employees. The constable fired several times in the air to create panic at the power substation. As a result of which the employees panicked, the employees informed the Malipur police station. On receiving the information, the police reached and investigated the matter and arrested the accused constable.

It is being stated that accused Constable Sharad Singh’s son Shivsagar Singh is a resident of Belauwa village in Malipur police station area. Sharad Singh is posted as Constable in Lucknow Commissionerate. Constable Sharad Singh came to his house last night after the electricity went out. The constable along with some of his colleagues reached the power sub-station late at night after there was no electricity for a long time. First he cursed and then loaded the pistol with cartridges and fired at full speed. The employees present at the electricity sub station informed the Malipur police and the police reached the spot and arrested the accused constable.
Has not reported for duty for four months
A drunken pistol-wielding constable is absent from duty. According to the information received from the police, according to the Counter Inspector of Lucknow, Constable Sharad Singh has been missing from duty for almost four months. It is being said that Sharad Singh, who went on leave, never returned to duty. In the video of the firing at the power sub station going viral on social media, one can clearly see how Sharad Singh first sits comfortably and loads the cartridge in the pistol and then starts firing.
Prabhakant Tiwari, in-charge of Malipur police station, said that there was information about firing at the electricity sub-station during the night. Police reached the spot and arrested Sharad Singh in a state of intoxication. Sharad Singh is posted in Lucknow Police. He has been absent from duty for three-four months.
