Forced Or Necessary? Chirag Paswan Finally Accepted Nitish Kumar As His Leader In Bihar

Bihar assembly elections will be held next year i.e. 2025. Political parties are busy making their own bets on this. Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) announced that it will contest the election under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In fact, this is an interesting development in Bihar politics as the political rivalry between Chirag and Nitish Kumar has been known for the past years. The two have been pitted against each other, but finally Chirag has accepted Nitish as his leader. Now the question is, what was the compulsion against Chirag that made him take this step?

Yesterday, LJP (Ram Vilas) called a meeting of the State Parliamentary Board. After this meeting, the party announced to contest the Bihar assembly elections as part of the NDA under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar. The party says it has started preparations for all 243 assembly seats.

Chirag’s strategy for assembly elections

After the meeting, LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Hulas Pandey said, ‘The party will fight the next assembly elections under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar. It was also decided that the party would keep in mind the ideology of party founder late Ram Vilas Paswan while deciding the names of candidates for the election. During the 2025 assembly elections, preference will be given to its dedicated workers in naming the party’s candidates.

Chirag Paswan’s party also passed a resolution, stating that the party treats people of all castes, creeds and creeds equally. Poor, deprived, SC-ST, OBC, EBC and minority communities will be given adequate representation in power.

Chirag started matching Nitish Kumar’s tune

Now it comes to the matter of how Chirag was convinced to contest the assembly elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar? In fact, the LJP (Ram Vilas) chief has realized that he cannot keep enmity with Nitish Kumar in Bihar by staying in the NDA. This is the reason why he recently joined Nitish Kumar in demanding special status. The JDU passed a proposal to grant special state status to Bihar in the national executive meeting, which was seconded by Chirag. He said that Bihar needs a special state in public interest. He has always demanded this.

Chirag Paswan supported Nitish Kumar even when former Union Minister and BJP leader Ashwini Chaubey talked about contesting the Bihar assembly elections under BJP leadership. Reacting to Chaubey’s statement, the JDU said that the state elections will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. Chirag agreed to this and made it clear that only Nitish Kumar would lead the NDA in the elections. Chirag single-handedly won the 2020 assembly elections and raised his voice against Nitish Kumar, causing him to suffer the consequences.

One senses the political climate like a father

Chirag is taking every step for his party, which will give him a big political advantage. He wants to increase his presence in the assembly by coordinating with Nitish Kumar. His influence in the Lok Sabha has increased. The party won all the five seats it contested under the NDA leadership and Chirag was made a minister at the Centre. It is being said about him that like his father Ramvilas Paswan, he too has started understanding the political environment and is formulating his strategy based on the same.
