Ghaziabad: Loan For Daughter’s Marriage, 10 Lakh Stolen From 8-year-old Owner’s House; Accused Driver Arrested

A shocking case has come to light in Ghaziabad district. Here, a driver’s father stole 10 lakh rupees from the owner’s house to pay his daughter’s marriage debt. The police took action in this case and arrested the accused driver. Also, the stolen Rs. 10 lakh, the police recovered from the accused driver Rs. 8 lakhs were recovered.

Police arrested a driver who stole Rs 10 lakh from his owner in Indirapuram police station area. Police seized Rs. 8 lakhs were also captured. Driver Azad was working in Malik’s place for the last eight years.

The driver fled with 10 lakhs

A woman lodged a complaint of theft of Rs 10 lakh at the Indirapuram police station, accusing her driver of theft. In the complaint, the woman wrote that her driver had been working as a driver in her place for the last eight years. On August 4, a bag containing bundles of notes was kept in the car, after which the driver Azad fled after stealing it.

The police have registered a case on the woman’s complaint and started searching for the absconding driver. The police arrested the absconding driver Azad on Tuesday. After arresting the driver, ACP Swatantra Kumar Singh informed that the arrested accused driver Azad was working as a driver for the victim in Indirapuram for the last 8 years, but on August 4 he absconded with Rs 10 lakh. He escaped in a car and was arrested today.

Stealing to pay daughter’s wedding debt

After the arrest, the accused driver informed the police that he had married his daughter. After the daughter’s marriage, he had incurred a lot of debt. He could see no way to repay the loan. On August 4, when he saw Rs 10 lakh in the car, he felt greedy. He stole 10 lakh rupees to repay the loan. The police said that the accused has spent two lakh rupees, while eight lakh rupees have been recovered.
