The newly constructed Tadighat railway station in Gazipur district under East Central Railway Danapur has not even been a year old but the platform and walls of the Tadighat railway station building have started cracking at many places. Not only this, the constructed toilet tank has also been submerged. As the station is in such condition so soon, questions are being raised on the construction. At the same time, according to locals, the way cracks are visible on the walls of this new station definitely points to poor construction.
While the Tadighat railway station had fallen into disrepair so soon, villagers said the way the station’s walls were wet in many places, the roof flooded and the tiles broken in many places definitely pointed to corruption in the first monsoon rains. is Tadighat was PM Modi’s dream project under the Mau rail expansion project. The PM virtually inaugurated the newly built station from Azamgarh at a cost of Rs 25 crore on March 10, 2024, but just four months later, the walls and platform of the station building had cracks, a sign of massive corruption. .
Cracks in station walls
The foundation stone of the station was laid by PM Modi on November 14, 2016 from the ITI ground in Gazipur, which was completed a year ago at a cost of around Rs 25 crore, villagers said. Cracks in walls, platforms, collapsed toilet tanks, dampness in walls etc clearly point to corruption and sub-standard construction. Local people said that the platform of this newly constructed station is about 620 meters long. There are total four platforms here.

Only 2 trains run on this 7 line station
A total of seven tracks are laid on the platform. The station is visited daily by senior railway officials, but the fact that no one pays attention to the non-standard construction raises suspicions. Let us tell you that till now only two trains are running from this railway station, which travel from Dildarnagar to Gazipur City. There is a demand of the people that now other trains should be run at this station, so that it becomes easier for people to travel long distances.
Action will be taken after investigation
