The girls reached the DM office in Banda with a copy of the NSC bond

In Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district, there is once again a scam in Shree Yojana. It is alleged that government officials sitting in various blocks have not only disappeared 397 NSC bonds with the connivance of post office employees, but these bonds have also been cashed. The value of these bonds issued in the name of girls born in poor families is said to be around Rs 2000 crore. However, after getting information about this, the girls eligible for the scheme have complained to DM Banda and DM Banda has also constituted an inquiry committee considering the seriousness of the matter.

Let us tell you that Shree Yojana is a scheme of the Government of India for the self-improvement of girls born in poor families. On the birth of a girl child in any poor family, a report is prepared by the Anganwadi worker of the concerned village and based on this report, the Government of India issues NSC bonds in the name of those girls. Mutual exchange of this bond takes place after the daughter completes 18 years of age. The government wants to use this amount to facilitate the daughter’s marriage or further studies.

The NSC bond was created in 2005 in the name of girls

With the same intention Child Development Department in Banda also enrolled about two thousand girls and got NSC Bonds under Shree Yojana in the year 2005. All the girls in whose name this NSC bond was created have now attained the age of 18 years. When these girls wanted to know the status of their bonds at the post office, they found that the bonds were not in the post office, not only that, they found that all the bonds had been cashed in. The eligible girls also complained to the Child Development Department last year. Filed, but no action has been taken yet. Now these girls have complained to DM Banda.

After this complaint, when the matter was investigated by the DM office, it was found that not one or two but 397 bonds were missing. During the preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that this act was carried out by the Babus sitting in different blocks along with the postal employees. When the matter came to light and deserving girls started complaining, these babus tried to suspend the matter, but when the matter reached the DM, the whole situation became clear. One such issue came up in January this year as well. At that time too, the then DM Durga Shakti Nagpal ordered an inquiry into the matter. The matter is still pending.
